Keighley Healthy Living (KHL) is a local health and wellbeing charity established in 2001 and is registered with Charity Commission and Companies House.  KHL is based in the centre of Keighley and delivers a range of initiatives that aim to tackle health inequalities, improve health and wellbeing and reduce social isolation across the local community. We are looking to expand our board of Trustees and / or specialist advisors and are looking for committed people keen to drive forward our vision and be actively involved in meeting the charity’s aims. The Board is collectively responsible for the governance and strategic direction of KHL. Successful applicants will be expected to take an active role in ensuring the organisation’s work towards its key missions, objectives and goals.

We are looking for people with a range of skills and experience, but applications with the following backgrounds would be particularly welcome:

  • Experience of writing and assessing funding applications
  • Marketing and promotional experience

Trustees are asked to commit to an average of 8 to 10 meetings a year and occasional  subgroups and  events. They will be expected to remain well informed about KHL and its activities, taking a personal interest in and collective responsibility for its sustainable growth.

In keeping with the Charity’s status, this is a voluntary role with travel expenses reimbursed.
