Accessibility
Physical Access
As part of our renovations in 2023, we put accessibility for those less mobile at the centre of our plans. Our building is accessible for wheelchair users and those bringing pushchairs and prams via our ramped access and electronic gate. There is an intercom button on the entry gate on Spencer Street which links to our reception desk – simply press the button and a member of our friendly team will assist you.
Toilet Facilities
We also have an adapted toilet facility and baby changing unit located centrally within our centre.
Garden Access
Our garden has been specially designed with raised flower beds to allow for ease of use.
Support with Communications
Among our staff, we have some who are able to assist visitors who use British Sign Language and others who speak many of the community languages spoken throughout Keighley and surrounding neighbourhoods. If you have additional communication needs, you can contact us before your visit to make sure we have the correct support available. Â
Neurodivergence Support
Like a person’s fingerprints, no two brains are the same. As an organisation we put people first and we’re flexible to accommodate those with additional needs. To help those with neurodivergence feel comfortable using our facilities, sensory bags are available in our reception area. Please ask our friendly team if you’d like to use our ear defenders, sensory toys or fidgets. Â
