Rethinking Pain is a community-based service for adults living with long-term pain in the Bradford and Craven area.
KHL lead the Rethinking Pain service, in partnership and collaboration with HALE, VCS organisations, Bradford District Health & Care Partnership and Primary Care Networks, including Modality. This partnership of organisations ensures our approach to pain management considers everything about the person living with pain, and looks at a person’s physical, mental, social and environmental needs through personalised health coaching and research-backed workshops and group sessions.
Visit the website for information on the workshops available, which include creative therapies, keeping active, diet therapy and a look at how faith can impact an individual’s view of pain. Â
Rethinking Pain aims to support those living with pain in the following ways:
Better pain management through a variety of techniques
Reduce the use of long-term medication (where applicable)
Improve quality of life
Your GP will refer you into the Rethinking Pain service after speaking with you about your pain and how it affects your daily life. You will need to complete a Pain Support Plan together, which talks through some of the options available to you and deciding on next steps in your pain management.Â
