KHL was delighted to be part of a ground-breaking, collaborative research initiative exploring the power of creative expression to uplift community wellbeing.
The Energy of Intention project – developed by Phil Jackson, Dr. Beverley Searle, and Linda Hollinghead – invited us to take part as a leading voice in community health. Eight participants from Keighley joined eight others from Bradford.
Through the project, participants shared daily positive reflections to photos of local people and places, captured images of meaningful moments (good and bad) in their homes and communities, and documented their thoughts and feelings in daily scrapbook journals.
The aim? To explore how intentional, positive focus can deepen empathy, foster connection, and enhance the wellbeing of individuals and the wider community.
Want to see the impact for yourself? Visit the exhibition at the former Beales department store in Airedale Shopping Centre, Keighley – available to view for the next 6 weeks. You’ll find powerful journals and poetic collages shaped from participants’ own words.
