Olushola’s Story

Impact Stories, Volunteering

It was back at university after I graduated, I wanted to do an observation and shadowing and I was going through some information about that, and I came across Keighley Healthy Living through my friend, and I contacted KHL to see if I could volunteer.

I came in for a chat and since then I think it’s been it’s been wonderful to be here at KHL. It’s exactly what I expected. I’ve been well trained, getting into meeting people in the conversation cafe, helping with the kids who came on some programmes here and it’s a warm space here. It’s very inviting, with quite a lot of people.

So, I think this will help me in furthering my plans for getting a job because part of it was shadowing and it’s been a good experience here and I hope it will help me in making my career progression.
